JKLF chief Yasin Malik was detained Friday night amid indications of a wider crackdown on separatists in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. Police and paramilitary forces have been put on high alert but there was no confirmation about any more detentions. Earlier this week, the security cover of 18 separatist leaders, including Yasin Malik, was withdrawn.
